Meet the Founder
I’m Tim B.: a veteran, husband, and baby boomer with aging parents, grown kids and grandkids. Self-employed for most of my career, I’ve spent 30 + years working in homes and buildings: cleaning and remodeling them, helping families organize and downsize, and seeing what makes a place easier to live in when circumstances change. I’ve downsized my own home, too. That experience shapes the practical guidance you’ll find at Organize-Declutter.
Experience at a glance:
- Owned and ran a 23-person commercial janitorial and residential cleaning company in Florida for nine years, including extensive commercial floor work.
- Managed building maintenance at an 85,000-square-foot research park facility in Los Alamos, New Mexico, for two years, and earned certifications as a BPI Building Analyst and in infrared camera use.
- Ran a property services company in Washington for about ten years, providing cleaning, organizing, local moves, downsizing help, wheelchair ramps, and other home improvements as people’s needs changed.
- Completed home remodels throughout my career, from a two-story renovation to custom build-outs.
- Off the clock, I’m an avid home improvement enthusiast who also enjoys good books, YouTube, movies and the occasional round of Call of Duty.
